Jackson (Mich.) Presbyterian: It is with deep sorrow that we have to record the death of Janet Inglis, the infant daughter of our beloved pastor and his wife. For some time they have visiting at Claysville, Pa., the home of Mr. Inglis’ father. They were getting ready to return to Jackson last Thursday, when a day or two before Janet took sick. In spite of the best medical skill and care (Dr. Inglis, her grandfather, giving up his other duties to give his entire attention to her), the little one passed away Monday evening.
The interment took place at Claysville, Wednesday. The Jackson Citizen, in a notice of the sad event, said: “Janet was a bright child, and was loved by all who came in contact with her. Mr. and Mrs. Inglis expect to return Saturday, and Sunday Mr. Inglis expects to occupy his pulpit morning and evening.”
